LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Dayton softball team dropped a close 4-3 decision at ^RV/RVKentucky Tuesday evening in a back-and-forth scoring affair at John Cropp Stadium. The Wildcats were able to take the lead for good with a two-run sixth inning and held on for the win.

Dayton moves to 13-12 on the season while Kentucky is now 21-11 overall.

KEY STATS
HR - junior Maddie Kapsimalis knocked out her second home run of the season, a dinger off the scoreboard in left field
4 - graduate students Emily Daniel (LF) and Kaelene Walter (RF) both tallied four putouts in outfield
2 - Kapsimalis tallied two hits, two RBI and two putouts
Win - Schoonover (11-5). Loss - Sarah Bailitz (3-4). Save - None.
