DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team completed the Atlantic 10 series sweep of Loyola Chicago with two wins at UD Softball Stadium Saturday. Junior Maddie Kapsimalis knocked out her second grand slam of the weekend in the Flyers' 7-5 nightcap victory.

Dayton improves to 16-13 on the season and 6-3 in league games while Loyola moves to 14-18 overall and 3-6 in conference action.

GAME ONE
Dayton 2, Loyola 0
SB - graduate student Emily Daniel claimed her 18th stolen base of the season, which is tied for first place in the A-10
SHO - the shutout was the team's fifth of the season
2 - junior Chloe Wong was 2-for-3 with one run scored, her seventh multi-hit game of the season
Win - Haven Dwyer (5-3). Loss - Andie Broniewicz (6-5). Save - Sarah Bailitz

GAME TWO
Dayton 7, Loyola 5
HR - Kapsimalis knocked out a bases-loaded home run in the second inning for her second grand slam in as many days
3 - freshman Kirnan Bailey scored three runs, recorded three putouts and tallied three assists
2 - sophomore Molly Grace was 2-for-3 at the plate
2 - Kapsimalis was the second Flyer with a multi-hit game after going 2-for-2 with two runs scored, two walks and four RBI
Win - Dwyer (6-3). Loss - Peyton Pepkowski (7-10). Save - Bailitz (2).
