BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Dayton softball team scored 13 runs on the strength of 18 hits in a rout of IUPUI Saturday night as the Flyers opened play at the 2024 Indiana Invite. Six Flyers recorded multi-hit games including freshman 
Kirnan Bailey who was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate.
With the 13-3 win, Dayton improved to 8-6 on the season while IUPUI moved to 4-17 overall.
KEY STATS
18 - as a team, the Flyers tallied 18 hits on the night with six recording multi-hit games
4 - Bailey recorded a career-high four hits in four at-bats and also scored two runs
4 - graduate student 
Emily Daniel knocked in a career-high four RBI and batted her first triple of the season
3 - graduate student 
Kaelene Walter was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI
3 - freshman 
Deirdre Flaherty knocked out her first career home run and tallied a career-high three RBI
3 - graduate student 
Nicolette Papavasiliou recorded three hits in the game, her second multi-hit game of the season
3 - Bailey collected a career-high three stolen bases on the night
