DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team splits its Atlantic 10 doubleheader with Rhode Island Saturday, taking game one by an 8-0 margin in five innings followed by a 6-3 loss in the nightcap. The Flyers and Rams will close out the three-game series with a single game on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. with Senior Day recognition prior to the game.
Dayton is now 27-18 on the season and 16-6 in Atlantic 10 games. Rhode Island moves to 14-34 overall and 9-13 in league action.

Dayton will close out the home portion of its 2024 schedule Sunday with a single game against Rhode Island. Seven departing team members will be recognized prior to the game which is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium. Admission is free.
