CINCINNATI, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Xavier on Saturday afternoon at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility.
The Musketeers jumped ahead by securing the doubles point and never looked back. Freshman
Marra Bruce and fifth-year
Elizabeth Hamilton fought until the end, but the doubles point finished with them tied 5-5 at No. 2.
Singles went similarly for the Flyers, falling at each spot. Junior
Laura Greb won the first set, 6-3, but the Musketeers No. 5 rallied to win the second set 6-2 and the tiebreak 10-3.
Dayton starts a three-match homestand this week on Wednesday, April 10 with a 12 p.m. match against Saint Louis.
