DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team will kick-off the 2024 season when it hosts Detroit Mercy Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field.
Dayton is coming off a 2023 season in which it won the Atlantic 10 Championship tournament and automatic bid for the NCAA Championship tournament.
"We have another schedule that allows us a chance at an at-large bid to the national tournament," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "Our key non-conference opponents will be IU, WMU, SIUE and WVU who all competed in the national tournament this past season. We also face a very challenging A-10 schedule. Our goal is to achieve a back-to-back national tournament appearance. We have a well-balanced team with many returners from the A-10 Championship team but we will have to overcome key losses in the seniors who graduated and played a significant role in our last season run."
Returners
Senior goalkeeper has played every minute in his two years at Dayton and is expected to get the nod between the posts to start the season. Sophomores
