Seven Net Goals In #UDWSOC's 9-0 Win Over Mercyhurst

Blain Earns First Career Hat Trick, Benigno Tallies Three Assists

DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team earned its third win of the year with a 9-0 victory over visiting Mercyhurst Thursday night at Baujan Field. Seven different Flyers scored a goal, led by senior Noel Blain with her first career hat trick.

Dayton improves to 3-1 on the season while Mercyhurst, in its first season of DI competition, moves to 0-4.

KEY STATS
44 - the team got off 44 shots, 22 in each half, led by graduate student Diana Benigno, Blain and freshman Avery May with six apiece
19 - 19 of the Flyers' shots were on goal, the second time this season the team has recorded double-digit on-target shots
3 - Blain scored a career-high three goals, her first career hat trick, in just 39 minutes on the pitch
3 - Benigno tallied a career-high three assists and also scored a goal in 58 minutes of action
