MUNCIE, Ind. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team opened the fall season at the Ball State Invitational over the weekend, Sept. 13-15 at the Foster Adams Family Tennis Center.
 
Reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year and sophomore Kyle McNally highlighted the weekend for the Flyers, winning two matches in both singles and doubles. He played UD's No. 1 in singles, winning against Xavier and IU Indy, and teamed with freshman Brady Hussey to pick up doubles victories over Ball State and Butler.
 
All four of the Flyer freshmen who made their debuts this weekend picked up a victory. Hussey topped IU Indy for his first, while Alfons Ridstrom won against Xavier, Sturle Skigelstrand beat Ball State, and Kaia Mendibe bested Butler.
 
UP NEXT
After a week off, Dayton travels to the Music City, Nashillve, Tenn. to take part in the Belmont Fall Invitational, Sept. 27-29, at the Beaman Family Tennis Center.
