Women’s Rowing Hires Gromek As Assistant Coach

Gromek Rowed Crew At Old Dominion University

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's rowing program and head coach Mike Wenker have announced the addition of Annika Gromek as the new Assistant Coach.

Gromek will lead the novice rowers and support Coach Wenker with the varsity squad for the 2024-25 season.

She joined the Dayton rowing squad fresh out of the NFL, where she worked in sales for the Washington Commanders for almost a year. Before the NFL, she worked at Amazon Web Services at their East Coast HQ and specialized in cloud migration consulting while finishing her college career.

A graduate of Old Dominion University with a degree in Corporate Communications and Sales-concentrated Marketing, Gromek competed for three years on the ODU Women's Team on scholarship and was named co-captain her junior year.

"I am excited to come to the Flyer Family, grow the team, and build some speed," said Gromek.
