DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team is headed to Louisville, Kentucky, for a Sunday night matchup against Louisville. The Flyers and Cardinals are set to kickoff at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at UofL's Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium and admission is free.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (4-2) posted the team's third shutout win of the season on Thursday, downing visiting Western Kentucky, 3-0. Senior
Noel Blain leads the team with 13 points (2nd A-10, 16th NCAA) on the strength of five goals (t-2nd A-10) and three assists (5th A-10). Freshman
Liv Grenda has also scored five goals (t-2nd A-10) while graduate student
Diana Benigno has dished out a team-best four assists (2nd A-10, 16th NCAA). Junior
Batoul Reda has played all 540 minutes (2nd A-10, 22nd NCAA) in goal this season, collecting 18 saves (t-7th A-10).
SCOUTING LOUISVILLE
Louisville (5-0-2) is unbeaten through seven games on the season including back-to-back shutout wins over Evansville and UT Martin. The Cards' match against the Flyers' is their last before heading into conference play. UofL's attack is led by Karsyn Cherry (5 goals) and Mackenzie Geigle (4 goals) but a total of 10 Cardinals have netted a goal this season. Keeper Erynn Floyd has started all seven games this year but Kailey Kimball has worked 162 minutes of relief in goal.
SERIES STUFF
Dayton Leads, 12-4-0.
UD claimed a 2-1 decision over UofL on Aug. 24 of last season, snapping the Cardinals' four-match winning streak in the series. The pair last squared off in Louisville on Sept. 12, 2019 with UofL taking the 5-2 win.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton posted its third shutout of the season with a 3-0 win over visiting Western Kentucky Thursday night at Baujan Field. Three different Flyers scored in the win, including senior
Noel Blain who tallied both a goal and an assist within 30 seconds of each other. As a team, Dayton took 15 total shots, nine of which were on target.

Eric Golz is in his eighth season as head coach of the Flyers in 2024. His record at Dayton is 76-47-16 (.604) and his career win-loss mark sits at 96-63-21 (.592) over a total of 10 seasons. Golz has tallied the program's second-most wins, behind Mike Tucker who had 313 wins over 22 seasons (1995-2016) at Dayton.

Liv Grenda claimed the Atlantic 10's first Rookie of the Week honor on Aug. 19 after scoring her first collegiate goal in Dayton's 2-1 win at Loyola Maryland on opening day.
• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title 11 times (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013). The Flyers have captured the A-10 Championship title 10 times (1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016). Over 28 appearances in the A-10 Tournament, UD has tallied a 34-11-5 record in the conference postseason championship.
