DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team kicks off its trek to a championship this weekend, traveling to West Lafayette, Ind. to take on Purdue on Saturday at 3 p.m. in its first match of the spring season at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

The Flyers are coming off a strong fall performance highlighted by sophomore
Kyle McNally, who picked up eight wins, won the Atlantic 10 Masters Qualifier, and went 1-1 at the ITA Conference Masters against some of the nation's top competition.

Dayton and the Boilermakers have squared off four times since the 2010 season, with the teams splitting the matches 2-2. UD has won the two most recent showdowns in the last two seasons, winning 5-2 in 2023 and 4-3 last season.

Purdue finished the 2024 season with a 7-16 overall record and a 2-7 mark in the Big Ten. This season the Boilermakers are led by Aleksa Krivokapic, who won the Big Ten's individual singles title in the fall. Saturday's match will be the second of the season
