It’s The First Perfect Season For The Flyers In 21 Seasons

KINGSTONG, R.I. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team capped a perfect Atlantic 10 season with a 2-0 win in the regular season finale at Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon at the URI Soccer Complex.

The win gives Dayton (13-3-2; 10-0 Atlantic 10) its first perfect A-10 season since going 11-0 in 2004. Rhode Island (11-5-2; 5-3-2 A-10) will be the No. 4 seed heading into the Atlantic 10 Championship.

UD opened the scoring when senior Karli Ferguson scored her first goal of the 2025 season in the 20th minute of action.

Freshman Emery Newlin came through for the Flyers in the second half of action, scoring her first career goal in the 72nd minute after a fantastic run by fellow freshman Ky Hau-Golden set up the strike.

The shutout marked the 13th on the season for keeper Batoul Reda and the Dayton defense, putting Reda in a tie for most single-season shutouts in program history. It also marked the 40th shutout of Reda's career, putting her in a tie for 20th in NCAA history.
