Box Score DAYTON - The University of Dayton Men's Basketball team outscored Bowling Green by over 30 points in the second half to take the final preseason tune-up by a final score of 90-59 on Monday night at the University of Dayton Arena.

Javon Bennett led the Flyers with 25 points in the game, connecting on 5-of-9 three-pointers and adding four assists. Junior
De'Shayne Montgomery added 16 points, eight rebounds and a team-high six assists for UD. Sophomore
Amaël L'Etang also finished in double-figures with 15 points.

Dayton finished the final 5:58 of the contest on a 24-6 run, shooting a perfect 13-for-13 from the floor in the process. On the whole, UD shot 50.8% from the floor for the game, including a blistering 68.8% in the second half, while Bowling Green was held to 39.2% overall. The Flyers dominated in the paint, outscoring the Falcons 38-14 inside, while also making more three-pointers (11 to 8) and making more free throws (19) than BG attempted (17).

First Half – Bowling Green 30, Dayton 27
- Junior De'Shayne Montgomery scored the first points for the Flyers with a steal into a layup.
- Senior Javon Bennett found an open Montgomery streaking to the hoop and connected on an alley-oop to give the Flyers an early lead over the Falcons.
- Montgomery connected on a deep three, for his seventh point in the first eight minutes of play.Â
- Graduate student Keonte Jones put back an easy basket off a rebound, to tie the game at 15 points.Â
- After falling behind, sophomore ​​Amaël L'Etang made one at the line, to put the Flyers back in the lead.Â
- After executing a fast break lay-up, Bennett brought the score to Flyers 20, Falcons 17.
- Bennett went 2 for 2 in foul shots to bring the Flyers back into the game.Â

Second Half – Dayton 90, Bowling Green 59
- Bennett set the tone immediately in the second half, knocking down a three-pointer and tying the game at 30 points. Â
- BG regained a brief lead, but back-to-back lay-ups from Jones put Dayton back on top, 34-33.
- Senior Jacob Conner flipped in a lay-up with ease for his first points of the night, then followed it up with another lay-in a minute later to tie the score at 41. Â
- A tip-in dunk by Jones gave Dayton the two-point advantage with just under 12 minutes in remaining, and the Flyers never looked back.Â
- Sophomore Bryce Heard forced a Falcon turnover and converted on the other end with a fast break lay-up.Â
- Leading by six with less than nine minutes to play, L'Etang and Montgomery hit back-to-back buckets to push Dayton's advantage to double-digits for the first time on the night.Â
- A three from the top of the key from L'Etang put the sophomore into double digit scoring and gave UD a 66-52 advantage.Â
- Bennet poured in his fifth three-pointer of the night from downtown, adding to the 20-point lead.Â
- When the dust settled at the end of the game, Dayton completed a 24-6 run over the final 5:58, including a 7-0 spurt in the final 1:23.
