DAYTON - The University of Dayton football team will head back out on the road as Pioneer Football League play continues this Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. at Morehead State University.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Morehead State are meeting for the 30th time in program history with the Flyers holding a 19-10 series advantage. The Eagles won last year's contest however , 14-6, at Welcome Stadium.
LAST OUTING
• Dayton powered its way to a 48-14 victory at home over Stetson last Saturday as part of Family Weekend and the PFL opener.
Bryce Schondelmyer threw for five TDs in the first half as the Flyers cruised to their third straight win.Â
• Morehead State suffered a 41-0 defeat at the hands of No. 25 Presbyterian in their conference opener. The Hatters gave up 35 points in the first half, but settled in at halftime, only allowing six more points the rest of the way.
LEADING THE WAY
• The Flyers currently lead the PFL in numerous categories across all three phases of the game including blocked punts, blocked punts allowed, fumbles lost, passes had intercepted, team passing efficiency and turnover margin.
• Dayton also ranks top five nationally blocked punts allowed, passes had intercepted, and is second in the country in turnover margin.
MAKING THEIR MARK
• Dayton has multiple student-athletes ranking in the top three individually among PFL players:Â

Gavin Lochow - Ranks first in receiving touchdowns (fifth nationally), third in receptions per game, and third in scoring.Â

Bryce Schondelmyer - Ranks second in completion percentage (22nd nationally), third in completions per game, first in passing efficiencey (sixth nationally), second in passing touchdowns (sixth nationally), third in points (19th nationally), thid in total offense, and third in yards per pass attempt (12th nationally).Â

Michael Mussari - Ranks second in punt returns, second in receiving touchdowns (12th nationally), first in receiving yards (19th nationally), and third in yards per reception.Â

Vincent Firenze - Ranks second in passes defended (10th nationally).Â

Luke Hansen - Ranks third in rushing touchdowns
SCHONDELMYER MAKES IT THREE-STRAIGHT PFL HONOREES
• Redshirt sophomore
Bryce Schondelmyer threw for five touchdowns in the first half, only the second Flyer in program to do so, en route to PFL Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 28. The Brookville native finished the game 19-of-23 for 333 yards and no turnovers.Â
