DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball program travels just down the road to Cincinnati to take on Xavier University Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cintas Center.Â

Tamika Williams-Jeter finished her fourth season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.Â
The Flyers are averaging 81.0 points per game and holding opponents to 65.5 points each outing. Dayton is shooting 56.5 percent overall, 37.1 percent from three point range, and 67.9 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from a +3.5 rebounding margin.Â

Olivia Leung is adding 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds each contest and newcomer

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
XAVIER
Xavier remains unbeaten at 2-0 to start the season with wins over New Haven and Purdue Fort Wayne at home. The Musketeers are amidst a five-game home stand at the Cintas Center to start the year and were 5-10 at home last season.Â
Head coach Billi Chambers is in her third season in charge of Xavier after coming over from Iona in 2023.
As a team, Xavier is scoring 57.5 points each outing and allowing just 53.5 points to opposing squads. The Musketeers are averaging 38.2 percent from the field, 17.6 percent from behind the arc, and 80.6 percent from the charity stripe.Â
Mariayah Noel has gotten off to a strong start to the season, leading Xavier with 17.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 50 percent from three point range. Savannah White has chipped in 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.5 blocks, and 2.5 steals each contest.Â

Dayton returned home to power its way to an 86-44 over Mercyhurst Thursday. The Flyers wer led by 20 points from
Nayo Lear and
Fatima Ibrahim with eight points, nine rebounds, and six blocks.
Xavier held on for a nail-biter 62-61 win over Purdue Fort Wayne Friday, despite being outscored by nine in the second half. The Musketeers led for the majority of the game, but the Mastodons were able to tie it up with 1:32 left. Xavier hit its free throws down the stretch and held on for the victory.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Xavier are meeting for the 63rd time in program history. The Flyers lead the series 34-28 all-time, but the two teams have not faced off since Feb. 7, 2013. UD won that contest 78-68 at home and has won three straight.Â

Dayton leads the Atlantic 10 in multiple categories, including blocks per game and field goal percentage (8th nationally).Â
