DAYTON – The University of Dayton volleyball team will finish up the regular season with a road series against Rhode Island on Nov. 14-15.
This final weekend of the regular season gives UD a chance to keep things sharp before the Atlantic 10 Championships the following weekend. The match will have live stats but will not be livestreamed.
First serve on Friday will be at 4 p.m. Saturday's match will start at noon.
VCU RESULTS
Dayton ended its home slate with two five-set wins over VCU. The team recognized its seniors Friday night, and the win clinched the 2025 regular-season title. In Saturday's match, the Flyers were trailing the Rams but came out on top with a reverse sweep.
Kamryn Hunt tabbed 40 kills, leading the Flyers. Hunt also led the way with eight service aces. Viktoria Wahlgren posted 73 assists, good for an average of 7.30 assists per set. Abigail Cresse totaled 17 blocks.
MORE MILESTONES
A trio of Flyers reached career milestones last weekend.
Kamryn Hunt earned her 100th career block, Karissa Kaminski tallied her 500th career assist and Viktoria Wahlgren recorded assist No. 2500.
HOLDING THINGS DOWN
UD continues to lead the Atlantic 10 in opponent hitting percentage.
Holding opponents to a .168 hitting percentage, the Flyers are No. 20 in the country. Nebraska leads the statistic with a .122 opponent hitting percentage.
POSITIVE PERCENTAGE
At 21-6, Dayton has a league-leading .778 win percentage.
The Flyers are ranked No. 30 in Division I, tied with Towson for a top win-loss percentage.
HIGH EFFICIENCY IN THE MIDDLE
Liana Sarkissian continues to be one of the most efficient hitters in the country.
She leads the Atlantic 10 with a .385 attack percentage, putting her at No. 39 in the country.Â
TWO'S COMPANY
Kamryn Hunt and Karissa Kaminski are second in the conference in eight combined statistical categories.
Hunt is second in kills per set (3.84), points (413), points per set (4.26), total attacks (985) and total kills (372). Kaminski holds second in aces per set (.46), digs per set (4.31) and service aces (45).
LEAGUE-PLAY LEADERS
Against members of the A-10, Kamryn Hunt and Karissa Kaminski take the top spots in hitting percentage, kills and points per set.
Hunt is first in kills with 248 and points per set with 4.79. Sarkissian's Atlantic 10 leading hitting percentage improves to .403 in conference play.
TEAM ON TOP
Heading into the final weekend of conference action, UD continues to hold first in many statistical categories when up against A-10 teams.
The Flyers lead in points per set (17.37), hitting percentage (.280), kills per set (13.21), opponent hitting percentage (.147), opponent assists (625), opponent kills per set (670), opponent blocks per set (1.57), opponent blocks (91), opponent aces per set (1.14), opponent aces (66) and opponent digs (779).
MOVING ON UP
After a pair of big home wins, Dayton has moved up slightly in the RPI, going from No. 47 to No. 43 this week.
The next A-10 opponent is George Mason at No. 122. Rhode Island is last in the conference with an RPI of 304.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Rhode Island is 5-23 overall and 2-14 against the Atlantic 10. Their only conference wins are against Fordham and George Mason, both of which were at home.
Havyn Rolle leads the Rams with 216 kills. Junior Chloe Abuto has 107 total blocks, the most for Rhode Island. Setter Ema Stermenska leads the team with 337 assists on the year.
LAST MEETING
Dayton is 44-10 all-time against Rhode Island, winning the last 18 straight meetings. The Flyers' last loss to the Rams was a five-set, road match in 2013.
Last season, UD had back-to-back sweeps over Rhode Island. Lexie Almodovar led the way with 23 kills over the Rams. Alyssa Miller recorded 69 assists on the weekend. Taylor Russell earned seven service aces.

The Flyers will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships, playing in the semifinals at noon on Saturday, Nov. 22.
