RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Dayton volleyball team fell to fourth-seed VCU in straight sets in the Atlantic 10 Semifinals (25-27, 17-25, 26-24).
Dayton finishes the 2025 season with a 23-7 overall record with an 18-0 record in conference play.
After the Rams took an early 7-3 lead in the first set, the Flyers fought back to take a 14-11 lead. Despite UD leading 25-24 at the end of the set, the Rams went on a three-point run to win the first. A four-point advantage in the second set helped VCU take a two-set advantage.
In the third set, VCU took another early lead, but the Flyers battled back, tying the set at 24 apiece before the Rams won the match.
