DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team looks to make it three straight victories this weekend as they take on Ball State on Saturday and close out with Eastern Kentucky on Sunday.
The Flyers travel to the Northwest YMCA in Muncie, Ind., to take on Ball State on Saturday at 1 p.m. UD then returns home to face EKU on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the South Regency Tennis Center.
Dayton is coming off back-to-back wins over Saint Francis and NCAA Division II Ashland, improving to 5-3 on the season. In their last match against Ashland, the Flyers cruised through singles play, not dropping a single game.
Ball State began its spring campaign with a loss at Notre Dame, but has won the two matches since then over Eastern Illinois and Oakland to improve to 2-1.
Eastern Kentucky, on the other hand, has played 12 matches on the young season. The Colonels lost their last match at Middle Tennessee State, 4-0. That loss dropped their record to 4-8 on the season. Their four wins have come against NKU, UNC Greensboro, Cumberlands, and Lindsey Wilson.
