Women's Basketball Faces Off Against George Washington Saturday

The Flyers and Revs Tip-Off At 2 p.m. ET In The Nation's Capital

DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns to the road to take on George Washington University Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Smith Center

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton is hoping to get back in the win column as the season winds down as the Flyers are on a three-game losing streak in the month of February. UD is 13-11 overall and 7-6 in Atlantic 10 play.

Head coach Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her third season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.

The Flyers are averaging 64.6 points per game and giving up 63.9 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 41.7 percent overall, 31.7 percent from three point range, and 69.6 percent from the free throw line.

Leading the way for the Flyers are seniors Ivy Wolf with 16.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and Arianna Smith with 12.0 points, 9.4 boards, and 10 double-doubles on the year.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
GEORGE WASHINGTON

George Washington on the other hand is riding a three-game winning streak and hopes to carry that momentum into the weekend at home while going 11-13 on the season and 4-9 in A-10 games. The Revolutionaries are 6-6 at the Smith Center this year.

Head coach Caroline McCombs is in her fourth season at the helm and a native of Medina, Ohio.

As a team, GW is scoring 59.6 points each outing and allowing 62.2 points to opposing squads. The Revs are averaging 39.0 percent from the field, 26.2 percent from behind the arc, and 66.7 percent from the charity stripe. GW also leads the A-10 in free throw attempts, defensive rebounds per game, and total rebounds.

The Revs are led by Makayla Andrews with 11.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game along with Gabby Reynolds who has team-highs in steals and assists to go with 10.4 points each contest.

SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and Revs are meeting for the 51st time in program history with GW holding a 34-16 series advantage. UD was victorious in the last match-up in 2024, 71-53 at home. The Flyers have won five of the last six contests.

Dayton finishes up the road stretch at Saint Louis Wednesday, Feb. 19 with an 8 p.m. tip-off at Chaifetz Arena.
