DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team hosts Saint Joseph's University on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m for the final home game of the season and Senior Night.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton is looking to get some momentum heading into the Atlantic 10 Tournament next week, holding a 15-12 record overall and 9-7 mark in league play, good enough for seventh place. The Flyers are 11-5 at home this season.
Head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her third season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
The Flyers are averaging 64.5 points per game and giving up 63.5 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 41.2 percent overall, 31.7 percent from three point range, and 69.3 percent from the free throw line.

Ivy Wolf with 16.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and
Arianna Smith with 11.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 11 double-doubles on the year.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
SAINT JOSEPH'S
Saint Joseph's currently sits in third in the A-10 standings with a 12-4 league record and 21-6 mark on the year. The Hawks are coming off a big win over George Mason Sunday, but had lost the previous two games, both on the road.
Head coach Cindy Griffin is in her 24th season at Hawk Hill and has over 400 wins at the helm of the Hawks.
As a team, Saint Joseph's is scoring 71.4 points each outing and holding opposing squads to just 55.5 for a +15.9 point differential. The Hawks are averaging 45.8 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from behind the arc, and 76.7 percent from the charity stripe. Saint Joes ranks 18th in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio, 19th in scoring defense, and 23rd in three point percentage.
A-10 Player of the Year candidate Laura Ziegler leads the Hawks with 18.5 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while leading the nation in defensive rebounds per game, ranking second in triple doubles, and fourth in double-doubles. Mackenzie Smith and Talya Brugler are contributing 14.9 points and 13.6 points per game respectively as well.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and Hawks are meeting for the 37th time in program history with UD holding a 21-15 series advantage. Saint Joes has won the last two contests however, includign a 73-47 decision at home on Feb. 14, 2024.
