Softball Opens 2025 With Two Wins At Wofford Invite Friday

Dayton Shutout Youngstown State, 6-0, And Got Past Host Wofford, 6-3

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The University of Dayton softball team opened its 2025 season with two wins at the Wofford Terrier Invite Friday. In game one, Dayton shutout Youngstown State, 6-0, and closed out the day with a 6-3 win over host Wofford.

Dayton is 2-0 on the season while Youngstown State is 0-2 after the first day of play and Wofford entered the late game tonight with a mark of 0-1.

GAME ONE
Dayton 6, Youngstown State 0
Win - Izzy Kemp (1-0). Loss - Behlke (0-1).

GAME TWO
Dayton 6, Wofford 3
Win - Haven Dwyer (1-0). Loss - Greenwood, A (0-1). Save - Kemp (1).

UP NEXT
Dayton will start Saturday off with a 10 a.m. matchup against Towson at 10 a.m. and will play again at either 3 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. depending on the outcome of the day's first two games. Live stats will be available HERE.
