KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Dayton softball team claimed its second Atlantic 10 Conference series in as many weekends with an 8-1 win at Rhode Island Sunday. Senior
Emma Schutter (3) and sophomore Deirdre Falherty (2) each tallied multiple RBI in the game for the Flyers.
Dayton improves to 14-10 on the season and 5-1 in A-10 games while Rhode Island is now 6-15 overall and 2-4 in league contests.
KEY STATS

Molly Grace recorded a season-high 15 putouts at first base
3 - Schutter collected a game-high three RBI to go with two hits, two runs scored and two walks
2 - Grace also had two hits and two runs scored
1B - senior
Maddie Kapsimalis' single in the fourth inning extended her hitting streak to a team-high-tying nine games
Win - Dwyer (5-3). Loss - Zaun (1-4). Save - None.
UP NEXT
Dayton will be at home on Wednesday for a single game against Butler. The Flyers and Bulldogs are set to square off at 4 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free. Wednesday's game will feature Softball Bingo with the first three Bingo winners receiving a UD drawstring bag full of various UD gear! There will also be a post-game autograph session.
