DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team shut out visiting Butler, 8-0, in six innings Wednesday at UD Softball Stadium. Three Flyer pitchers combined for the team's third shutout of the season.
Dayton improves to 15-10 overall while Butler is now 17-11 on the season.

UP NEXT
Dayton will be on the road for the second-straight weekend as it takes a trip to the nation's capital for a three-game A-10 series at George Washington. Both UD and GW, along with SJU and Mason, sit atop league standings with a 5-1 mark after two weekends of action. The Flyers and Revolutionaries will kick of their series Saturday at 12 p.m. at GW Softball Field.
