Men’s Tennis Travels To Battle Saint Joseph’s And St. Bonaventure

Flyers Head To N.Y. To Face Hawks And Bonnies

OLEAN, N.Y.- This weekend, the University of Dayton men's tennis team is set to hit the road for a doubleheader in Olean, N.Y., facing Saint Joseph's and St. Bonaventure.

The Flyers will kick off the weekend against the Hawks on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a matchup with the Bonnies on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Both contests will take place at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.

Dayton enters the weekend in impressive form, riding a 14-match winning streak. Last weekend, UD notched two hard-fought road victories over VCU and Richmond, improving to 16-2. Sophomore Mikel Zinder sealed the win against Richmond with a dramatic three-set victory.

Saint Joseph's comes into the matchup with a 5-11 record. The Hawks opened their season with consecutive road losses to Monmouth and Northwestern. Their five wins have come against Illinois State, Jefferson, Duquesne, Le Moyne, and Coppin State. Most recently, they fell 5-2 to Georgetown.

St. Bonaventure, meanwhile, has struggled this season, holding a 1-13 record. Their lone victory came against NCAA Division II opponent Ashland. The Bonnies are coming off a tough loss to Notre Dame. Historically, Dayton has had the upper hand, winning the last six matchups against St. Bonaventure.

The Flyers will look to extend their winning streak and continue their dominant run this weekend.
