LAKE NONA, Fla. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team fell in the Atlantic 10 Championship match to No. 2 seed VCU, 4-2, on Saturday night at the USTA National Training Center.

VCU took control of the match by winning the doubles point, taking No. 1 by a 6-3 final and No. 3 by a score of 6-2.

Once the match turned to singles, the Flyers battled back. Sophomore
Mikkel Zinder won at No. 2 6-4, 6-3, and junior
Sai Dore was victorious at No. 3, 6-4, 6-4.
Unfortunately, Dayton was unable to come back after evening the match at 2-2. The Rams finished off the championship with wins at No. 5 and No. 6 to win its eighth straight A-10 Championship.

Dayton finishes the year with a 22-4 record.
