PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton softball team claimed two wins at Saint Joseph's Sunday, 7-6 and 13-5 (6), securing the Atlantic 10 series sweep and extending the team's win streak to five games. Senior Chloe Wong was 5-for-8 with four RBI on the day for the Flyers.

Dayton improves to 27-16 on the season and 15-5 in league games while Saint Joseph's moves to 26-22 overall and 13-10 in conference contests.

GAME ONE
Dayton 7, Saint Joseph's 6
4 - the team scored four runs in the sixth inning to complete the come-from-behind win over the Hawks
3 - Wong recorded three hits in the game, the second time this season she's had three hits in one game
2 - sophomore Kirnan Bailey tallied two RBI, her sixth multi-RBI game of the year
2B - four different Flyers batted a double in the game including senior Emma Schutter, her team-leading 10th of the season
Win - Haven Dwyer (11-7). Loss - Freiwald (7-3). Save - Izzy Kemp (4).

GAME TWO
Dayton 13, Saint Joseph's 5 (6 inn.)
16 - the team combined for 16 hits, equaling its season high, and it was the Flyers' fourth-consecutive double-digit hits game
5 - Kemp tallied five Ks in 3.0 innings of work
4 - freshman Ella Holman collected a career-high four RBI, including a bases-clearing double in the fourth
3 - Bailey led five Flyers with multiple hits with three to go with two RBI, two runs and one walk
3 - Schutter scored three bringing her runs scored total to nine for the weekend
Win - Kemo (12-4). Loss - Trowbridge (10-10). Save - None.

UP NEXT
The 2025 regular season will come to a close next weekend as Dayton welcomes George Mason to UD Softball Stadium May 3-4. Saturday's doubleheader is set to kickoff at 12 p.m. followed by a single game on Sunday, also at 12 p.m. Admission is free. Senior recognition will take place on Sunday.
