Jordan Derkack Joins Men’s Basketball For Senior Season

The 6-foot-5 Guard Comes To UD From Rutgers

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team and head coach Anthony Grant welcome transfer guard Jordan Derkack to the Flyer roster for the 2025-26 campaign.
 
Derkack played the 2024-25 season at Rutgers after playing two seasons at Merrimack (2022-23, 2023-24). He will have one season to play in the Gem City.
 
The Colonia, N.J. native played in 31 games at Rutgers, making 10 starts, averaging 5.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17 minutes per contest.
 
Before joining the Scarlet Knights, Derkack started his career at Merrimack College where he racked up multiple accolades. As a sophomore, Derkack was the Northeastern Conference (NEC) Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and an All-NEC First Team member. He averaged 17 points, six rebounds, and 2.1 steals during his sophomore campaign.
 
Derkack is one of seven new Flyers already on campus in preparation for the 2025-26 campaign.
