WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced its 2024-25 Commissioner's Honor Roll with 230 University of Dayton student-athletes on the list.
The Flyers recorded a cumulative semester GPA of 3.381 this past spring and had 42 student-athletes with a perfect 4.00 GPA for the semester. There were 178 student-athletes recognized on the Dayton Dean's List as well.
The league also set a record with an average 289 honorees per school, besting last year's average of 277. This year there were 406 student-athletes that achieved a 4.0 GPA, representing 10 percent of the total number of honorees. Additionally, 68.77 percent of the honorees, equaling 2,784 student-athletes, recorded a 3.5 GPA or better for the academic year.
Designed to recognize excellence in the classroom, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport at a full member institution must have a combined fall and spring semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the academic year to be selected for the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Both freshmen and graduate students are eligible to receive the award. In each of the last eight years, the league honored over 3,000 student-athletes per year and for the last two years, that number has topped 4,000.
