DAYTON - University of Dayton Women's Cross Country senior Anna Newkirk and Football senior Luke Hansen have been named the Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Oct 26- Nov 1^st.  

Anna Newkirk ran the sixth-fastest 6K in program history at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Richmond, Virginia. The senior finished 11th with a personal-best time of 21:01.2 and her performance earned her First Team All-Conference honors.

Hansen posted his second 100+ yard game of the season, finishing with 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the thrilling win at Stetson Saturday. The senior running back surpassed the 2,000-yard career rushing mark with a highlight-reel performance in the win, finishing with 13.2 yards per carry. Both of his scores went for 33 yards and 41 yards respectively, showcasing his home run threat ability.
