Men's Soccer Downs Saint Joseph's, 3-1, In A-10 Opener

Three Flyers Score; UD Out-Shoots SJU, 19-7

DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team opened Atlantic 10 Conference play Saturday night with a 3-1 win over visiting Saint Joseph's at Baujan Field. Three different Flyers scored in the match, including senior Ethan Sassine who netted his team-high fourth goal of the season.

Dayton improves to 2-1-3 overall and 1-0-0 in conference action while Saint Joseph's moves to 2-2-1 and 0-1-0 in league games.

KEY STATS
19 - the Flyers combined for a season-high 19 shots, the fifth time this season the team has got off double-digit shots
14 - UD tallied 14 corner kicks compared to SJU's 3
4 - junior Martin Bakken led all Flyers with four shots, two of which came on goal, including his second goal of the season
3 - freshman Farouq Ogundare scored his first career goal and his second assist of the season for three points in the match
