DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team returns to action Saturday night as it plays host to Davidson. The Flyers and Wildcats are set to kickoff at 7 p.m. at UD's Baujan Field and admission is free.

Dayton (2-1-5, 1-0-1 A-10) enters Saturday's match in a tie with Fordham for first place in Atlantic 10 standings with four points after a win over Saint Joseph's and a tie with VCU. The Flyers' offense is led by senior
Ethan Sassine with four goals and one assist for nine points while three different players have recorded two assists. Senior goalkeeper
Gavin Krenecki has worked seven of the Flyers eight games in goal this season and has tallied 21 saves with a 0.29 GAA.Â
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Davidson (2-4-2, 0-0-2) is coming off a 3-1 lost to No. 17 UNCG Tuesday in Greensboro and has recorded two ties in A-10 action this season. The Wildcats have three players who have netted two goals on the season, including Myles Culley who also has two assists for a team-high six points. Goalkeeper Lucas Beltran has worked all 720 minute between the posts for Davidson and carries a 1.62 GAA.

The Flyers and Wildcats last met on Nov. 8, 2024 at Baujan Field in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic 10 Championship. Dayton eliminated Davidson from the conference tournament by a 1-0 margin and UD's lone goal was scored by then-freshman

LAST TIME OUT
After their match was moved from Saturday to Sunday due to heavy rain in the Richmond area, Dayton and VCU played 90 minutes to a 0-0 tie at the Rams' Sports Backers Stadium. Both the Flyers and Rams each tallied 10 shots in the match. Five different Flyers got off a shot in the match, including senior

In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) through games on Sept. 25, Dayton ranked 131st according to NCAA.com. Davidson came in at 85.

Next Saturday, Dayton is set to square off against No. 8 Saint Louis at the Billikens' Hermann Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT in St. Louis.
