DAVIDSON, N.C. – The University of Dayton volleyball team defeated Davidson in five sets (25-15, 20-25, 25-17, 15-25, 15-6) to start Atlantic 10 play.
Dayton took an early lead to win the first set. After dropping the second, the Flyers pulled away late in the third frame to take back the set lead. With the Wildcats tying the match in the fourth, a seven-point run in the fifth gave the Flyers the space to win the match. UD tallied 63 kills with a combined .294 attack percentage in the conference opener.
