DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell, 5-2, to Eastern Kentucky at the South Regency Tennis Center.
Natalie Osiecki and Montserrat Sierra got out to a quick lead in the one spot before winning 6-1. Mallory Hitchcock and Baby Jordan won next, earning the doubles point for the Flyers, before Haley Klein and Grace Murphy also won their match.
In singles play, Jordan and Hitchcock each won their first sets but fell in the second and third. Klein was able to take the lead at the No. 6 spot, winning the Flyers' only singles match.
UD will play just one match next weekend, facing Toledo on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m.
