Women’s Tennis Faces Toledo For Road Match

Dayton Looks For First Dual Win Of The Season

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team will play a match on the road against Toledo on Jan. 24.

The match will begin at 1 p.m. and be played at the Twos Athletic Club in Toledo, Ohio.

The Flyers are looking for their first win of the season after falling to Louisville 7-0 and Eastern Kentucky 5-2. After being swept by the Cardinals, UD was able to win the doubles point and a singles match against the Colonels at home on Monday.

Haley Klein won 6-4, 7-5 in the six spot against EKU.

Toledo is a familiar foe for the Flyers, having played in the Rocket Indoor Invitational. Toledo won all of the matches in the fall. The last dual match between Dayton and Toledo was a 4-3 loss at home in 2024, where the Flyers won three doubles matches.

The Rockets will start their dual season against Oakland on Jan. 23 before hosting the Flyers. Toledo was picked first in the Mid-American Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, returning last year's MAC Freshman of the Year and an All-MAC Second Team selection.
