NASHVILLE – The Pioneer Football League announced its Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester and the University of Dayton led all PFL programs with 81 student-athletes honored.
The Flyers boasted 80+ student-athletes on the honor roll for the fourth time in the 25 seasons of the award.
Dayton adds 81 academic honors to what was already a successful 2025 campaign in which the Flyers went 7-4 under third-year head coach
Trevor Andrews. UD was in the postseason hunt down to the final weekend and returns a veteran group for the upcoming fall season.
Pioneer Football League athletic directors and coaches established the honor roll in 2001 as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. To date, the league has recognized more than 10,000 student-athletes on the PFL Academic Honor Roll.Â
The PFL Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the semester of competition and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
UD has the second highest student-athletes recognized per year average in the PFL at 68.3, just behind league newcomer St. Thomas who joined in the Fall of 2021.
