ABOUT THE FLYERS
Coming off a pair of wins against George Washington Oct. 16-17, Dayton's nail-biting matches versus Loyola Chicago this past weekend resulted in a 3-2 Dayton win on Friday and a tough 3-2 loss on Saturday. Nonetheless, the Flyers remain first in the Atlantic 10 Conference at 9-2.

On Friday, both senior
Gabriela Machin Borges and sophomore
Isabel Simmons played a crucial role in the Flyers' victory with a match-winning block. Freshman
Sidney Sprada had a career high of 23 kills on Saturday and led the team with 14 digs alongside sophomore
Morgan Asleson.

Sprada has earned her second A10 Rookie of the Week honor this season for her performance against the Ramblers.

ABOUT DUQUESNE
Ranked fifth in the A10, Duquesne has a record of 6-5 for conference play. The Dukes beat VCU twice in a weekend split with scores of 3-0 both Friday and Saturday.

Duquesne is home to Simone Searles, A10 Rookie of the Week last week. The right-side hitter has received this honor five times this season.

The last meeting between the Flyers and Dukes resulted in a 3-1 Dayton win earlier this season on Oct. 6, 2026. Dayton leads Duquesne 60-4 in all-time meeting history.
