LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Dayton softball team dropped two games on the second day of Kentucky's John Cropp Classic. In today's first game, Dayton fell to Murray State, 5-0, before closing the day with a 9-0 six-inning loss to host Kentucky.

Dayton moves to 7-4 overall after Saturday's games while Murray State is now 8-9 on the season and Kentucky is 16-4.

GAME ONE
Murray State 5, Dayton 0
3 - grad student Kate Kastelic collected a season-high three strikeouts over 4.0 innings of relief in the circle
2B - sophomore Katelin Goodwin recorded a double in the sixth, one of three Flyers to tally a hit in the game
Win - Bre Haislip (2-2). Loss - Soseh Broglin (0-1). Save - None.

GAME TWO
Kentucky 9, Dayton 0 (6 inn.)
4 - sophomore Ella Holman tallied a season-high four putouts in left field
2B - Goodwin batted her second double of the day in the fifth inning, breaking up the Wildcats' no-hit bid
Win - Abby Hammond (1-0). Loss - Camryn Craig (0-1). Save - None.

UP NEXT
Dayton will close out the weekend with games Sunday against Michigan State at 11 a.m. and a rematch against Murray State at 1 p.m. at John Cropp Stadium. Live stats for both games will be available at StatBroadcast.com.
