CLINTON, S.C. - The University of Dayton softball team shutout Presbyterian, 3-0, Saturday night in its third game of PC's Blue Hose Invitational. PC broke up UD's no-hit bid with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Dayton improves to 2-1 on the season while Presbyterian is now 1-2.
KEY STATS
10 - senior
Izzy Kemp tallied 10 strikeouts, her first double-digit K game of the season
3 - sophomore
Juliana Gonzalez recorded a career-high three hits and three runs
2 - junior
Kirnan Bailey also had a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with one RBI and one double
Win - Kemp (1-0). Loss - Peyton Duncan (1-1). Save - None.
UP NEXT
Dayton will close out the Blue Hose Invitational with a matchup against Morehead State. The Flyers and Eagles are scheduled for a 12:15 p.m. start time at PC Softball Complex.
