DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will continue the regular season with a match against The Citadel on Tuesday, March 17.
The match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Last weekend, the Flyers had an exciting 4-3 win over Furman. Kyle McNally, Mikkel Zinder and Sturle Skigelstrand won their singles matches at the top three positions. With the match tied 3-3, Alfons Ridstrom made a comeback in the third set after trailing 5-2, clinching the match for Dayton. UD is 8-6 this season.
The Citadel is 3-16 this season after going 1-2 against Samford, Stonehill and Richmond last week. Against Atlantic 10 foe Richmond, the Bulldogs fell 7-0. As of March 9, Brady Gober led the team with six wins. He and Ted Bagwell have six doubles wins to lead the Bulldogs.
This will be the first meeting with The Citadel.
Up next for UD is a pair of conference matches in Davidson, N.C., taking on Davidson and Saint Louis on March 20-21.
