DAYTON – After not competing for 12 days, the University of Dayton women's tennis team is set for a pair of Atlantic 10 matches this weekend.
Dayton will play Davidson and Saint Louis on March 20-21 at the Davidson Tennis Courts.
The Flyers are 5-9 this season, splitting matches against Cleveland State and Northern Kentucky on March 6 and 8. Baby Jordan was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, going 3-1 against the Vikings and the Norse. Mallory Hitchcock leads the Flyers with 12 singles wins this season.
Davidson is 5-5 overall, falling to Air Force and Denver last weekend. Ellie Hammond, Bryson Langford and Keri Rothenberg all have 11 singles wins this season.
UD is 0-5 against Davidson, but the two have not met since 2023's Atlantic 10 Tournament. Dayton lost 4-0 in the match.
Saint Louis is 5-7 this season, going 1-1 against Bradley and Omaha in the Billikens' last time out. Emmerson White, who was Feb. 17's A-10 Player of the Week, leads SLU with 11 wins this season. Fiorella Duran and Nicolly Ferreira lead doubles with six wins.
Dayton is 2-17 overall against Saint Louis, playing them twice in 2024. In the regular season, the Flyers won 4-3 before falling to SLU 4-0 in the A-10 Tournament.
The Flyers will play Cincinnati on April 1 for their final home game of the season.
