DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team walked off with a 5-4 win over visiting George Washington Sunday afternoon to claim a 2-1 Atlantic 10 series win over the Revolutionaries. Junior
Deirdre Flaherty's sacrifice fly out in the bottom of the seventh brought across junior
Kirnan Bailey for the winning run.
Dayton improves to 12-10 overall and 4-5 in league games while George Washington moves to 14-12 on the season and 5-4 in conference play.
UD has now won three of its last four and four of its last six games.
KEY STATS
15 - George Washington left 15 runners on base, including two bases-loaded, double plays by the Flyers to end an inning
2 - Flaherty was one of three Flyers with a multi-hit game, her team-high-tying sixth of the year, and she also tallied two RBI and two putouts

Dayton will host a single game against Northern Kentucky on Tuesday, March 24 ahead of a nine-game road swing. First pitch between the Flyers and Norse is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free.
