Cal Defeats Softball In Neutral-Site Game At Ohio State

UD Back in Action Saturday at George Mason

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Dayton softball team dropped a 12-7 decision to Cal Wednesday evening in a neutral-site matchup at Ohio State. Two Flyers knocked out home runs in the game while four players had multi-hit games.

Dayton moves to 13-11 overall while Cal is now 11-22 on the year.

KEY STATS
3 - Sophomore Mickie Shively was 3-for-4 at the plate, her first multi-hit game of the season, with two RBI
3 - Sophomore Camrynn Linneman tallied three hits and three RBI to go with two runs scored
HR - junior Deirdre Flaherty (2) and Linneman (5) each sent a ball over the fence
Win - Mya McGowan (4-7). Loss - Linneman (3-2). Save - None.

UP NEXT
Today's game against Cal kicked off a nine-game road swing for Dayton. The Flyers will head to Fairfax, Va., this coming weekend to take on the Patriots of George Mason Mach 28-29 for a three-game Atlantic 10 series.
