Box Score 2 FAIRFAX, Va. - The University of Dayton softball team won its weekend opener at George Mason, 2-0, before faltering, 4-3, to the Patriots in game two. Senior
Izzy Kemp recorded a 13-strikeout, complete-game shutout win to open the series.
Dayton is now 14-12 on the season and 5-6 in Atlantic 10 action while George Mason moves to 15-16 overall and 4-7 in league games.

UP NEXT
The Flyers and Patriots will close out a three-game series Sunday with a 12 o'clock start. Dayton continues its nine-game road stretch with two midweek games next week. On Tuesday, Dayton will be at Ohio State for a single game at 2 p.m. followed by another single game matchup at Providence on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Flyers will then play a three-game conference set at against the Rams of Rhode Island April 3-4 in Kingston.
