DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team dropped a 4-2 decision to visiting St. Bonaventure before taking the nightcap, 2-1, Saturday in Atlantic 10 Conference action at UD Softball Stadium. Senior pitcher
Izzy Kemp set a new program record for career strikeouts during game one and she now has 731 Ks over her four years as a Flyer.
Dayton in now 19-16 overall and 9-8 in league action while St. Bonaventure moves to 6-34 on the season and 5-9 in A-10 games.
GAME ONE
St. Bonaventure 4, Dayton 2
13 - Kemp tallied 13 strikeouts, her 12th double-digit strikeout game of the season, on her way to setting the program's new career record
CG - Kemp went wire-to-wire in the circle, her seventh complete game this year
HR - junior
Deirdre Flaherty knocked out her career-high-tying fourth home run of the year, a two-run shot in the first inning
Win - Mackenzie Frani (1-16). Loss - Kemp (12-4). Save - None.
GAME TWO
Dayton 2, St. Bonaventure 1
4 - sophomore
Mickie Shively was holding it down in centerfield, recording a career-high four putouts
K - with her second strikeout of the game, Kemp set the program's new single-season strikeouts record and she now has 206 on the year

UP NEXT
The Flyers and Bonnies will close out their three-game A-10 series on Sunday. First pitch is slated for 12:05 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free.
