INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Dayton softball team came up short at Butler, 7-6, Wednesday in non-conference action. The Bulldogs used a seventh-inning rally to best the Flyers by one.Â
Dayton is now 21-19 on the season while Butler improves to 20-17 overall.

Izzy Calinski equaled her career high with three hits in the game
3 - sophomore
Mickie Shively also had three hits equaling her career high, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one stolen base
2 - junior
Kirnan Bailey recorded two RBI, her first multi-RBI game of the season.

UP NEXT
With a bye from conference play this coming weekend, Dayton will head over to Pittsburgh for a Saturday doubleheader at Pitt. The Flyers and Panthers will get underway April 25 at 1 p.m. at Pitt's Vartabedian Field and admission is free.
