Huffman Leads Women's Golf At #A10WGOLF Tourney, Earns Co-Most Outstanding Rookie Performer

Freshman Tied for Fifth, Team Finished in Third Place

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Dayton women's golf team finished in third place at the second annual Atlantic 10 Championship held April 20-22 at Evermore Resort Golf Club in Ordlando. Freshman Etta Huffman led the Flyers with her fifth-place finish, earning her the Co-Most Outstanding Rookie Performer award. The three-round championship was competed at par 72 and 6,001 yards.

Richmond claimed the league's team title and berth into the NCAA Regionals with its team score of 307-303-305=915 (+51) and the Spiders' Maya Beasley earned medalist honors with her score of 73-72-76=221 (+5). The Flyers came in third with a team score of 318-319-315=952 (+88).

KEY STATS
147 - as a team, the Flyers parred a total of 147 holes, second most among the field
5.00 - junior Kylee Heidemann averaged a score of 5.00 on par-five holes, tied for lowest among the field of 30 competitors
🐦 - Huffman was tied for first among the field with seven birdied holes during the tournament

"I am proud of this group and our seniors, especially," commented head coach Ellie Sipe following the final round of the championship. "It was a battle from start to finish this week but I tried to make sure our seniors were enjoying every second of their last event. We'll be back and better next year. Only up from here!
