WASHINGTON - University of Dayton women's golf freshman
Etta Huffman has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year as announced by the conference office Friday. Three Flyers also earned mention on the A-10 All-Conference Team in post-season award voting among the leagues head coaches.
Huffman led the Flyers to a third-place finish at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship after tying for fifth place and earning the Co-Most Outstanding Rookie Performer award. She posted a 78.64 scoring average during her first season as a Flyer with two top-10 finishes.Â
Joining Huffman on the All-Conference Team are senior
Emma Sparling and junior
Kylee Heidemann. Sparling is the only Dayton player to compete in all 31 rounds over 11 events this season and Heidemann posted the team's low average of 76.54 with three first-place finishes.
