LAKE NONA, Fla. – The University of Dayton women's tennis team opened its time at the Atlantic 10 Championship with a 4-2 win over Duquesne.
The Dukes earned the doubles points with wins on the first two courts.
The Flyers showed their resilience in singles. On the first court, Natalie Osiecki won in three sets, coming back after falling in the first. In No. 2 singles, Christian Chin clinched her win with a 7-5 score in the second. Haley Klein settled her match in two sets, winning 6-4, 6-2.
Baby Jordan earned the match-winning victory with wins in two tiebreak games.
UD will now face No. 1-seeded Fordham at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23.
