Men's Golf Finishes In Sixth Place At Atlantic 10 Championship

Kreusch, Taylor Lead Flyers in Tie for Ninth Place

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Dayton men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship Wednesday. The Flyers were led by junior Breckin Taylor and freshman T.J. Kreusch who tied for ninth place. The three-day tournament was held at Evermore Resort and the course was played at par 72 and 7,068 yards.

Richmond claimed top team honors with a score of 296-281-273=850 (-14), earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Regional, and the Spiders' Lucas Rizo-Patron was crowned conference champion with his score of 68-69-66=203 (-13). Dayton took sixth place out of 12 teams with a score of 293-288-292=873 (+9).

In October, Gip Hoagland announced his plan to retire at the end of the season following 17 years as head coach and a total of 18 years with the men's golf program. The department of athletics cannot thank coach Hoagland enough for his investment in and dedication to Dayton golf. A Dayton alum ('93) and Class A PGA Professional who serves as head golf professional at NCR Country Club, Hoagland has been instrumental in elevating the Flyers into one of the top programs in the Atlantic 10 and the region. A proud Flyer, Hoagland leaves behind a legacy of excellence, integrity, and mentorship.
