DAYTON - University of Dayton men's tennis junior
Kyle McNally and women's track and field senior
Jadyn Haywood have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held April 20-26.
McNally went 6-0 in the Flyers' Atlantic 10 Championship appearance last week, winning all three doubles and singles matches against Duquesne, Saint Joseph's and Richmond. The
Algonquin, Ill., native finished the season 27-4 in singles, winning 20-straight matches in the number one spot.
Haywood posted three A-10 leading times over the weekend at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational, hosted by Louisville. She set a PR and improved her school record in the 200m, running 23.53. The Dayton native broke yet another school record as she anchored the 4x100m team to a third-place finish in 45.30, which is also the top time in the conference. She later finished fourth overall in the 100m with a time of 11.58, bested in the conference rankings only by her own time from earlier this season.
